"Brewery Hops of Ireland was a wonderful adventure.  It introduced us to some amazing brewers with such different styles but with matching enthusiasm for their craft."

Tour the Micro Breweries of Ireland with Brewery Hops

Welcome to Brewery Hops of Ireland.  We specialise in small group tours that provide the traveller and beer enthusiast with a unique and high quality holiday experience. The tour combines an appreciation of Ireland's emerging independent craft beer industry with visits to the abundance of heritage sites interspersed among the stunning scenery that Ireland has to offer.

At one time, Ireland had a vibrant regional brewing industry, with each town or county proud to drink the local produce. Sadly, this died out in the 20th century as the larger brewers like Guinness and Smithwicks grew at the expense of the independents. Ireland is making great strides in regaining its former brewing glory with over 30 micro breweries now in existence brewing a wide range of quality, flavoursome ales and stouts, that rival the best of what is produced anywhere.

The 5 day tour will start and finish in Dublin, taking in the stunning West of Ireland and visiting 8-10 micro breweries en route. There will also be the opportunity to visit heritage sites, ancient ruins, neolithic monuments, small villages, beautiful coastlines, dramatic cliffs and a few other little surprises along the way.  Those are just some of the daytime activities; at night we will experience true Irish 'ceol agus craic' – music and fun in traditional Irish pubs serving quality beer and good food.

The Wild Atlantic Way has recently been launched in Ireland, a 2,500km coastal route stretching from the Inishowen peninsula in Co Donegal to Kinsale, Co Cork, at present 4 of our brewery visits are along this amazing scenic coastline. This video features Peter Curtin, a proud Clareman and proprietor of the Roadside Taven in Lisdoonvarna where he brews a wonderful range of Burren beers which taste great with Irish smoked salmon from the Burren Smokehouse managed by Peter's wife Birgitta. A very popular stop on our tour, we overnight in Lisdoonvarna and enjoy Burren beer and live traditional music in the Roadside Tavern.
